At QRS, quality and attention to detail are paramount. The fit and finish of Quantum shocks is equal to the very best racing shocks offered by others. They are fully re-tunable should one want to step up from comfort to touring, to sport, to super sport or even to full racing. One can really appreciate Quantum when one realizes the broad range products offered for simple to very sophisticated vehicles. These are ideal for what are often called Road and Track, Time Attack, Solo and Autocross applications. 

QRS Dampers utilize the monotube design principal for best heat dissipation.  Design goals include minimizing friction, hysterisis and gas pressure for best damper response.  In adjustable shocks, the shaft internal adjuster is most effective with short and higher frequency displacements by varying the bypass of oil around the main piston valving.  In double adjustable shocks, the adjuster inside the reservoir is most effective for long travel and lower frequency displacements by varying the bypass of oil around the base valve shim stack.  The balance between main piston valving and base valve can be tuned to hasten the reaction time of the shock thus improving grip. 

The QRS T5-RS damper is a simple, high performance shock absorber that can be internally configured for the car and tuned externally with a single shaft adjuster. This shaft adjuster effects both low speed compression and rebound.  The concept of this design is that the shaft and functional components are located on the centerline thus the response of this damper is extremely good for higher frequency and short travel situations.  The T5-RS also features a second shim stack positioned in the main cylinder which is used to produce a portion of the compression damping force allowing the use of lower gas pressures. (3 to 8bar=45 to 120psi).  This second shim stack, depending on the how much target damping force is required, can be set to optimize the response time of the damper and allow for extremely low pressures without risk of cavitation.

The QRS T4-LM is a single adjustable shock based on the T5-RS and fitted with an external reservoir.  The T4-LM also utilizes a second shim stack for improved tuning. 

The QRS T3-CR double adjustable shock with external reservoir is our most versatile damper. It has a good performance in both short travel/high frequency and long travel/low frequency situations.  The low speed CD/RD adjuster and high speed CD adjuster offer independent control for each situation.  The remote reservoir tank contains the high speed compression piston and adjuster. The high speed CD adjustment results from displacement of oil caused by Damper shaft ingress. Thus the high speed CD adjuster has a greater effect at large shaft displacements due to the increase in the flow of oil but has an smaller effect at the smaller shaft displacements due to the reduced oil flow.
